New Year, New Post

OK, so it's not as dire as all that. Still, it's been a while since I've written.

Yes, it's a new year in the house with tenuous gutters. It's raining cats and dogs outside, and Bill Frisell's playing on the CD player. One kid's asleep upstairs, and the other's at a friend's house.

We've noticed some changes in the kids' behaviour lately. Some good (one is noticeably more easy-going about the day-to-day stuff), and some not quite so good (the other seems quicker to getting all snippy and grumpy).

Still, they're wonderful kids and I wouldn't trade them for the world. We've been skiing several times this year already (and the aforementioned rain here means it's dumping new snow up on the mountains) and the kids have definitely improved. Their lessons start in a week or so.

My new year's resolution (oh goodness, I said I wouldn't have one!) is to update this on a more regular basis and to reveal the world (or at least to those near and dear to me) that I am blogging.
